Community Groups

God regards relationship as essential. God is defined by love. For people to experince God's love, become mature and build other poople up, we believe it is essential they are in relationship with others. This happens very well in a smaller group, especially in a larger church. With a good variety of smaller groups in our church, we're bound to have one to suit you.

What types of groups operate?

There are many types of groups that operate throughout the week:

SPCC Life Groups

LG’s only meet for 1 to a maximum 1 ½ hours a week, in any place, any day of the week (they are flexible)

LG’s are made up of two or three believers generally of the same gender unless couples.  They should not grow beyond four or five but multiply into two groups of two or three rather than a single group of four or five.

LG’s do not need a curriculum or training.  A simple LG bookmark in their bible is all that is needed.  In time the LG members may enjoy a simple Bible Commentary as a resource tool.

LG’s consist of 3 essential disciplines for the disciple’s personal spiritual growth – a steady diet of Confession of sin, Scripture and Prayer for each other and those who need Christ.
