What do we offer children?

At SPCC, we believe that children are an integral part of a church family.

We aim to provide a fun, friendly, faith-filled environment where children are encouraged to meet with Jesus – right where they are.  It is our desire that children see Jesus reflected in the faces of our Navigators (adult teams), and in the faces of each other.

Our LifeStreamers Sunday Ministries are available at both our 8:30am and 10:30am community worship times.  There are four key areas, each designated by a colour that is designed to convey a sense of safety and belonging.  Our Navigators are easily identified by the colour t-shirts that match each area of ministry.

How can you be involved? Become a Navigator

We recognise that for most people there are high demands on time and
energy.  Often these demands take us away from the most important things in life – a relationship with Jesus, and with people.  In our ministry to children, our desire is to structure programmes so that there are not high demands on people to prepare materials prior to Sundays.

However, there is no doubt that ministry to children can be messy, tiring,
rewarding, costly, surprising …
Ministry to children is family life experienced at a community level.
As a regular attender of our church family at SPCC we would love you to be involved in caring for children in some way.  This may mean taking a turn to be a ‘Baby Hugger’ in Beamers; being a part of a team of carers, talking with a small group at our LifeStreamers Church, or sharing a particular gift or skill that God has given you.

In whatever way you may become involved, our desire for you is the same as it is for children: that as you share with kids, you experience the love and care of Jesus in face to face encounters with young lives.
