John Bond
John and his wife Julie have been married for 30 years and they have 3 children Carissa, Angie, and Josh Jay.
John grew up in the "manse", in other words he is a 'PK' (Preachers Kid!). His father was a Pastor Evangelist, who spent much time travelling Australia as a tent evangelist. John personally came to the Lord at 19 years of age and in his words then "became a child of God rather than a second hand Christian!"
John has 28 years of ministry experience, 23 years in the local church Pastoral Ministry and 5 years as a full time itinerant. He served as Minister of the Thornlie Church of Christ in Western Australia from 1978 to 1988 during which time it grew from 32 to over 800 members with a weekly attendance over 1200, becoming the then largest Church of Christ in Australia.
His passions are leadership, local church ministry, teaching and equipping God's people and doing the work of an evangelist.
In view of this he has spent much of his ministry on the road working with 370+ churches of many persuasions and Christian organisations all over Australia and other parts of the world. This includes 200+ Churches of Christ in Australia and 64 out of the 72 Churches of Christ in Western Australia. John has Pastored 3 congregations – Earlwood, NSW (2 years as a theological student), Thornlie (11 years) and South Perth (currently for 10+ years).
John has ministered in every state and territory of Australia, New Zealand, Africa, Singapore, India, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Hong Kong, China, the United States of America, Romania, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands.
Currently, he is the Minister at the South Perth Church of Christ in Western Australia. The church at South Perth is experiencing significant growth with attendance having grown from 200 to 800+.
John is:

- Chairman of the Servant Leadership Team for Prayer Summits W.A. (1997-)
- Chairman of City Reach WA (1999-), Chairman of the South Perth Clergy Fellowship (1995-) and

- Director of Compassion Australia (2002-)
