Mops & Moppets
Are you the mother of a pre-schooler? Want some “time out” to build meaningful relationships with other mums? Then MOPS if for you.
MOPS stand for Mother of Pre-schoolers and the focus of MOPS here at South Perth is to provide a caring and accepting environment in which mums can make friends, share concerns and know that they are not alone.
The group meets every fortnight on Tuesday mornings from 9.30am – 11.30am. It is run by Christian mothers of pre-schoolers for all mothers of pre-school children.
MOPS aims to give mums a time to relax, socialise and build relationship with other mums while the children are cared for in a separate “Moppets” programme.
Children are lovingly cared for on the same premises by volunteers. All volunteers have police clearances. The children participate in planned activities suited to their skills and age group.
A MOPS morning at LCC consists of fun activities, teaching, discussion groups, craft and morning tea.
Guest speakers are often invited to speak on a variety of topics such as Post natal Depression, Healthy Eating, Relationships... and many more.
