We care more about you than your clothes.
That's why some regulars come to church in business dress and some in casual, some in fine suits, others in jeans or shorts and polo shirts, and you will notice our Pastors don't normally wear a tie. We believe Jesus is looking at your heart!
We care more about you than your personality or style of worship.
Some people clap their hands. Some worship quietly, others with hands and voices lifted high. Some are emotional, some are reserved. The music is a great mix of brand new upbeat songs with drums and rhythm, older worship songs, and an occasional hymn. We use Powerpoint presentations and video to enhance the worship and learning experience.
We care more about you than about tradition.
We rarely if ever do anything that will totally make a visitor feel out of place. The words of songs and hymns are displayed on a screen and we explain what we are doing as we go along. No one will ever force you to do anything you are not comfortable with at South Perth.
We allow the Holy Spirit to do His work
The gifts of the Spirit are allowed to operate in our services. There may be a word of prophecy, spontaneous prayer or the like, but we strive to operate according to scriptural principles, decently and in order. God is allowed to speak and touch your heart at South Perth.
While we are progressive in method, we are uncompromising in message.
You'll quickly notice some differences at South Perth - the attitude, look and feel, computer screens, video and DVD clips, drama and dance, a variety of musical instruments and a difference from the way some churches do things, but never will we compromise the Word of God. The messages that the pastors bring are to inspire and encourage, but if the Bible upsets you then we make no apology for God's Word and the message of the cross that brings salvation.
You need to come check out a service and be the judge for yourself.
You just might like it. Sunday is always a good time to try out the church by attending one of the services. Services are at 8.30 & 10.30 am and 7.00 pm. Kids Ministry runs concurrently with both morning services.
